Absolute is an application designed to assist individuals in developing Perfect Pitch, a musical skill that enables quick and accurate identification and recall of pitches.

WHO CAN USE IT?

The common belief is that Perfect Pitch can only be cultivated in children during a critical learning period. Nevertheless, certain studies indicate that with consistent and appropriate training, some adults may also acquire this skill. While genuine Perfect Pitch is not guaranteed, diligent practice offers a high likelihood of developing a strong tonal sense and the ability to identify and recall pitches independently.

HOW IT WORKS?

The app features a meticulously structured regimen comprising 22 levels. These levels vary based on the pitches (notes) they cover, with the number of pitches increasing progressively as users advance through the program.

1. Users learn tonal mnemonics, termed resolutions, for each note to create distinct mental associations. The app plays these resolutions audibly while visually indicating the notes, prompting users to replicate the sequence.
2. Training focuses on ear training for identifying resolutions without visual cues. Users listen to a resolution and then attempt to reproduce it.
3. An exercise involves recalling and playing the resolution corresponding to a single pitch played by the app.
4. By honing their skills in previous exercises, users are challenged to identify pitches they hear.

User progression within the program hinges on two performance indicators: Accuracy and Tempo. A minimum accuracy rate of 90% in an exercise session is required for completion, along with meeting specific tempo requirements to unlock subsequent exercises.

The program's tempo increases intentionally to compel users' brains to internalize pitch identification processes rapidly, transitioning such activities from conscious to unconscious cognition. Through this optimization process, users eventually develop immediate pitch recognition devoid of mnemonic assistance.
